What is it?

Healthy Mind, Healthy Body is a free, six-week wellbeing programme designed to help you create balance between your physical and mental health.

Delivered in partnership with the Central & West Primary Care Network, this uplifting and practical course brings together expert knowledge and lived experience. Each session is co-facilitated by a member of the Isorropia Foundation wellbeing team and a specialist from the Dietetics Team, supporting you to make small, meaningful changes that last.

  • Build self-awareness and confidence in managing your wellbeing
  • Learn simple, practical ways to boost mood, energy, and motivation
  • Create healthy routines that fit naturally into everyday life
  • Connect with others who share similar goals
  • Develop a clear plan for ongoing and sustainable wellbeing

Getting Started

An introduction to the programme. Explore your motivations, set meaningful goals, and begin the process of self-reflection.

Eating for Energy & Nourishment

Learn how to recognise nourishing foods, support healthy weight management, and make positive changes to your eating habits.

Getting Active

Discover the benefits of movement and everyday activity. Gain insight into how to stay active even with chronic pain, with input from a pain management specialist.

Week 4

Mood & Food

Explore how emotions influence eating patterns. Build awareness of triggers and learn practical strategies for emotional wellbeing.

Week 5

Making It Stick

Understand how habits are formed and how to create new routines that feel natural and achievable. We’ll also look at simple techniques for maintaining progress long-term.

Week 6

Reflection & Celebration

Reflect on your journey, celebrate your achievements, and explore onward options to continue your progress.

We encourage you to attend all six workshops, as each session builds on the last.

This free programme is open to adults aged 18 and over who are registered with:

  • Newport Health Centre
  • Cowes Medical Centre
  • Brookside Health Centre

Travel and Access

A free minibus service is available each week, with a 9:30am pick-up and 12:30pm drop-off. Pick-up and drop-off points are by the taxi rank outside Morrison’s in Newport.

How do I join?

How do I get to the Medina Valley Centre?

You can travel independently or use our free minibus service. Directions and maps are available on our How to Find Us page.

Do I have to pay for the minibus service?

No. The service is completely free for programme participants.

Where is the minibus pick-up point?

The minibus collects and drops off participants by the taxi rank outside Morrison’s in Newport, leaving at 9:30am and returning around 12:30pm.

Is the Medina Valley Centre wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the venue is accessible for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs.

Is there somewhere I can get food and drinks?

Please bring your own food or snacks if you’d like to eat during the break. We’re happy to provide water if needed.

Is there parking at the Medina Valley Centre?

Yes, there is free on-site parking for all participants.

Workshops

How long are the workshops?

Each session lasts around two hours.

What times are the workshops?

Workshops run from 10:00am to 12:00pm every Monday.

How big are the groups?

Groups are kept small and supportive, usually around 10–15 people, to help you feel comfortable and connected.

What if I’m worried about groups?

That’s completely okay – many people feel that way at first. Our facilitators create a calm, understanding space where you can take things at your own pace. There’s never any pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with.
