Community Activities Engagement Guidelines

Join us on a journey of growth, connection, and discovery, as we work together to create a brighter, empowering future.

The Isorropia community offers a supportive, inclusive space where individuals can connect, grow, and take charge of their wellbeing through shared experiences and personal development opportunities. We believe in the power of meaningful social connections to nurture mental and emotional wellbeing, boosting happiness, resilience, and growth.

We also recognise the transformative benefits of physical activity and lifelong learning. Trying new things or discovering new passions can build confidence, enhance self-esteem, and promote overall wellbeing.

To maintain a safe and supportive environment, we have established the following guidelines for members engaging in Isorropia’s Community Umbrella activities:

Eligibility to Join Social Activities

New Members:

    • Upon completing their introduction workshop and one topic workshop, members may join social activities, provided they adhere to the Community Activities Engagement Guidelines.
    • At Isorropia, we believe that both workshops and social groups are essential to fostering wellbeing. The workshops provide the tools and understanding needed for personal growth, while social groups offer connection and shared experiences. For this reason, it is not possible to participate in social groups without also engaging in workshops until the Gift Foundation course has been completed.

Graduates:

    • Graduates who have engaged in workshops or community umbrella social activities within the past six months are eligible to participate in social activities.
    • Graduates who have not engaged in the last six months will need to contact the duty line for a brief check-in with a member of the duty team before re-engaging in social activities. This will be discussed within the team, who will then decide the best way forward—whether that’s safely re-engaging with community activities or revisiting the programme to ensure the member is fully supported in their journey.

Exclusion Criteria

The Community Umbrella activities provide a safe and positive space for members to practise their skills. To maintain this environment, the following applies:

    • Members under the influence of alcohol or substances will not be able to participate in activities, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all.
    • Members displaying aggression or antisocial behaviour will not be permitted to take part, as we aim to maintain a respectful atmosphere.
    • To foster a positive, inclusive community, members who consistently criticise Isorropia Foundation, team members, or fellow Isorropia members will be asked to step back from activities. In rare situations where a member is deemed to require a higher level of intervention, Isorropia reserves the right to pause access to the groups whilst they support the member to meet their wellbeing needs elsewhere.

Exclusion Criteria

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants, members should not be engaging in self-harming behaviours or actions that could harm themselves or others during activities. We want to maintain a supportive and safe environment for everyone involved.

Your fellow members are not equipped to manage disclosure of past trauma. With this in mind, we ask that conversation remains solution focused and forward thinking, as sharing adverse past experiences can affect others.

All community umbrella social activities are totally confidential. We ask that what is shared within the group, stays within the group.
