Affordable Counselling
How We Can Help
Affordable counselling offers access to professional support at a reduced cost, helping ensure that finances aren’t a barrier to getting the help you need. We believe that everyone deserves a safe space to talk, reflect, and work through life’s challenges.
These sessions are offered by trainee counsellors who are in the final stage of their training. They have already completed substantial academic and clinical requirements and have been signed off by their training organisation as ready to work with clients. All trainees receive regular supervision from qualified, experienced therapists to ensure safe, ethical, high‑quality practice.
You will receive the same supportive, confidential environment as standard counselling, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and gain greater self-understanding.
If for any reason our service isn’t the right fit, we’ll always guide you toward alternative support options.

- You’re looking for a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

FAQ's
Is counselling right for me?
Counselling can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, stressed, low, anxious, or navigating a significant life change. It can also support you if you’re struggling with relationships, confidence, identity, or simply want space to explore your thoughts and feelings.
How much does it cost?
Sessions start from £30 with a trainee therapist, subject to suitability and client needs, which will be discussed during the initial consultation.
How often will I need to attend?
We ask for a commitment to weekly attendance, especially at the start, to help you settle into the process and build a trusting therapeutic relationship.
How long does counselling last?
Counselling begins with six sessions. After this, we review things together on a case‑by‑case basis and discuss what you feel you need going forward.
We always aim to accommodate additional sessions wherever possible, depending on availability at the time.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. Counselling is confidential, with the exception of rare situations where there may be a risk of harm and confidentiality needs to be broken for safety reasons.
Is this pathway suitable for everyone?
Not always. While we aim to make counselling widely accessible, some situations may require more specialist or intensive support. If that’s the case, we’ll guide you toward services that may be a better fit.
How do I get started?
Just complete our enquiry form. We’ll contact you to arrange an initial conversation so we can understand what you’re looking for and check whether the pathway feels like a good fit.
What if I change my mind?
You’re free to end therapy at any time, and we simply ask for a minimum of 48‑hours’ notice. If you’re unsure or have concerns at any point, your counsellor will support you to talk things through so you can decide what feels right for you.
