Hey! I’m Maria. I’m the Organisational Lead here at Isorropia Foundation.
Firstly, I just wanted to acknowledge that reaching out can be the most difficult, yet the bravest and best decision you can make for yourself. The fact you’ve taken this time to read about Isorropia Foundation shows that you are already beginning to take some positive steps towards wellbeing and in my opinion, any step is worth celebrating, big or small!
A little bit about me…
I have a particular passion for changing the way we look at Mental Wellbeing as a whole, having worked within a range of Mental Health and Addiction services as a Nurse. I truly believe that all of us experience poor mental wellbeing at some point during our life and that with the right guidance, all of us can live a life filled with meaning, purpose and balance.
“Isorropia” is Greek for the word “balance” and is something that is incredibly important to myself as an individual and to the Organisation’s as a whole. To maintain my own life balance I practice yoga, meditate, regularly push my comfort zones with new experiences and enjoy learning about new cultures through travel.
I am committed to reducing stigma, promoting the use of our shared experiences to form connections and ensuring our organisation provides an accepting environment and sense of belonging for every individual who joins us. I am incredibly proud to be part of developing such an innovative, member-lead organisation that focuses on looking after everyone’s wellbeing, including our own.
We look forward to hopefully working with you soon.
